T-Shirt - Dr. Doom

When Mark Twight was climbing he did new routes and set speed records in mountain ranges all over the world. Some have not been repeated or bettered. Bold, and dedicated to the concept that "speed is safety", he often left the rope at home.

Mark secured a position in the history of Alpinism with his hard climbs but it was his confrontational attitude toward other climbers and public examination of his own actions in both spoken and written word that earned his reputation.

His incisive writing was just as often aimed at himself as it was at others and several of our friends drastically altered their lives — for the better — after having read one particular piece titled, Twitching With Twight. And who knows how many others are living a more honest life, true to themselves because of something he said or wrote? Or something they discovered in his newest project, NonProphet?

Once asked whether he always listened to music when he was soloing, he replied, "Of course. Everything has a soundtrack." His music matches his old nickname, Doctor Doom. From the Sex Pistols and Joy Division to Skinny Puppy and Henry Rollins with a little black metal thrown in for good measure, when there was a live show you could find him upfront in the pit even after he drew his AARP card.

This t-shirt represents total commitment but also the convergence of two paths, which itself asks the question, "Are you on the right one — for you?"
